ITZCHAK TARKAYItzchak Tarkay was an Austrian born painter. In 1944, he and his family were sent to the Mauthausen Concentration Camp.

In 1949, the family moved to Israel where they settled on a kibbutz. He attended the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design, and in 1956 graduated fromt eh Avni Institute of Art & Design. Tarkay is well known for his painting and watercolors. He was influenced by French Impressionist and post Impressionist artists including Matisse. His work has been exhibited globally and can be found in collections all over the world.
